The epitome of luxury, the perfect location, extraordinary dining, a world-class spa… just in case you need further nudging to book your stay at One&Only Cape Town, along comes the newly launched “One&Only Cape Town Insta-walks”.
Now guests can go on guided walking tours to the coolest spots in the Mother City, from quaint eateries and artisinal bakeries to up-and-coming art galleries and funky fashionable street corners to world-famous coffee shops and pop-up boutique stores. The walks are led by the High Priestess of All Travel Blogs, Dawn Jorgensen (The Incidental Tourist) and super-smoothie, man about town and Instagram rock-star Seth Shezi.
The duo have put together their little black book of most “instagrammable” hotspots in the city and will share these with guests who’re keen to explore the real heart and soul of Cape Town.
Dawn Jorgensen says: “Here, at the tip of Africa, I remain ever inspired by the melting pot of culture and flavours, the strong international influence so delicately matched to traditional Cape Malay infusions and the rise of artisan producers who carefully craft their passion. Not to mention the outpouring of inspired design and the characters who follow their hearts to the Mother City. These are the stories I love to seek out and look forward to sharing on the One&Only Insta-walks.”
Seth knows all the most instagrammable sights, shops and trendy places to hang out and is a self-declared “slave to art, travel, food, style and wine”. He’s only too happy to share insights into his ‘hood as he takes guests on a cosmopolitan journey through the streets of Cape Town.
But don’t expect a staid and predictable tour, the Insta-walks offer a constantly evolving experience for guests and a glimpse into urban life in one of the most gorgeous cities on the planet.
The One&Only Cape Town Insta-walks are co-ordinated by Escape+Explore Private Cape Adventure, founded by local adventure entrepreneur Ingram Casey, winner of the Best Service Provider award at the recent We Are Africa conference.
