Travelling with the family requires a bit of thought to ensure that everyone is happy and so that those holiday memories last a lifetime. According the 2017 Luxe Report by luxury travel agency network Virtuoso, there are a few destinations around the world that are just perfect for families, big and small.
The report is about the future of family travel and is based on what the agency’s network of global advisers have to say about Americans’ travelling behaviour. The findings show that Gen Z travellers – those born between the late 1990s and early 2000s – have overtaken millennials in travel decision-making for family vacations, and have become the most influential in this regard.

Following Brexit and the subsequent drop in the strength of the pound, Europe has become more affordable for individuals and families wanting to travel. Also, destinations that had been affected by the Zika virus, such as the Caribbean and Mexicom, are gaining ground again for the same group.
The report also looks at the advance of adventure travel – for thrill-seekers who prefer destinations that offer physically challenging experiences – and cites destinations such as Australia, Costa Rica and South Africa as having seen a boost.
