Pierre Jourdan Wine Popsicles, or ‘PJ Pops’ are officially available from today, the first day of spring. While the idea of frozen wine does sound a bit odd, the fun concept is no doubt going to be a big hit this sunny season.
These delicious wine popsicles were inspired by similar products seen in the overseas market – but these are our very own homegrown version of the alcohol popsicle from one of South Africa’s best-loved wine farms Haute Cabrière, and we have a feeling they’re going to be in great demand.
There are two delectable offerings made from the Pierre Jourdan Brut, a Cap Classique, and Pierre Jourdan Tranquille, a still wine made from a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
Haute Cabrière has created many firsts. It was the first South African wine farm to exclusively produce Cap Classique from the noble cultivars of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and now it’s the first estate to launch South Africa’s wine popsicles.
Having your favourite tipple on the beach as the sun goes down just got a whole lot easier…
