Nigeria unveils statue and street name in honour of Zuma

South African President Jacob Zuma was honoured in Imo State, Nigeria, not only with the erection and unveiling of a large statue, but he also had a street named after him: Jacob Zuma Road.

This was during a work visit to strengthen socio-economic relations with Zambia, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Nigeria.

Nigerian multi-billionaire and the governor for Imo State Owelle Okorocha also conferred the highest award in the state, the Imo State Award, on Zuma. This is an award given to individuals who make a meaningful impact on their communities.
