In the West African country of Senegal for Dakar Fashion Week, which place from 20-24 June, celebrated style therapist and culture curator Kwena Baloyi captured the capital in effortless style rooted in her famed authenticity. Sharing photos and videos of her stay, Baloyi explored the many facets of Senegal – from the hustle and bustle of the city to the incredible architecture unique to the region.

Leaving Dakar, Baloyi wrote: “It ended so soon @dakarfashionweek, but thank you so much for calling for us. The four days we had together were magical and they will not be forgotten till the next edition… We came We saw We connected We exchanged a lot We collected We experienced We learned We made friends and can’t wait to get home and report on everything…”

Next, she headed east for the third edition of Collective RW in Kigali, where she formed part of a creative panel discussion hosted by Heva Fund, which provides funding and invests in the creative economy sector in the East African region, with a focus on transformative social and economic initiatives. She appeared alongside other revered creatives from the continent, such as Nairobi-based Creative Director Sunny Dolat and Creative Director of Moshions, Rwandan Moise Turahirwa.
