On Monday, 11 September, Radisson RED opened doors in Cape Town. This follows successful launches in Brussels, Minneapolis and Campinas. The 252-room hotel, which lies at the revamped Silo District at the V&A Waterfront is Africa’s first Radisson RED, and promises a unique hotel experience designed with cutting-edge technology and personalised experiences befitting the “millennial mindset”.
Inspired by all things art, music and fashion, the hotel is yet another innovative offering from the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group’s global hotel and lifestyle brand. Complete with standard two-sleeper studios and studio suites, with balconies, sea views and pet-friendly rooms, the hotel is set to draw travellers to the city from far and wide.
“Radisson RED is a completely new and different hotel concept. It is bold and alive, and provides an experience like no other,” says Mark Willis, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group’s Senior Area Vice-President for the Middle East, Turkey and Africa.
“Radisson RED boasts a forward-thinking design and offers a new experience fuelled by personal interaction and personal choice. Radisson RED guests are not defined by a certain age – they are united by an appreciation for unique, but intelligent design, energetic social spaces, technology that makes their lives easier, and a customisable, personal experience,” Willis continued.
