Tsogo Sun are in the process of revitalising The Sabi River Sun hotel in Mpumalanga. This iconic family hotel forms part of the Sabi River Sun Resort and is situated along the banks of the Sabie River.

The good news is that the popular Sesonke restaurant, the golf bar, the terrace area and the public areas of the hotel will remain open for business. You can still visit the resort and play golf, you just can’t sleep over until all the renovations are complete during the 4-month “revamp” hiatus. After October 3rd you’ll have your pick of 60 newly decorated rooms with comfy and relaxing furnishings, air-conditioning and the latest en suite amenities. That nostalgic Seventies look of the old bathrooms will have been replaced with updated décor, all the latest mod-cons and walk-in showers. The “face” (façade and balcony railings) of the hotel will also enjoy a nip and tuck so the exterior can match the attractive, revamped interiors.

General Manager of the Sabi River Sun Resort, Wayne Wilson says, “At Tsogo Sun we are consistently renewing and refurbishing our properties to ensure that we provide our guests with the best experiences and value. We are confident that our guests will enjoy the revitalised hotel offering and we look forward to welcoming them.”

This chilled country resort and hotel is justifiably popular with nature and wildlife lovers, photographers, families and outdoor sports enthusiasts. It offers a real get-away from anything hectic and hurried in a lush and soothing setting. Day trips from here will take you to the Kruger National Park, the myriad waterfalls of the escarpment and the Panorama Route (including Blyde River Canyon and God’s Window).
