As if the luxury shopping, ultra-modern architecture and lively night scene weren’t enough reason to visit Dubai, the Middle East’s economic hub is hosting the fifth edition of its international music festival RedfestDXB. An amazing line-up of iconic R&B, EDM, rap and pop artists will take the stage at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre for the two-day festival.

Headlining day one is Grammy Award-winning EDM-pop duo The Chainsmokers who first achieved recognition with their break-out hit “#Selfie”, a top 20 single in several countries. They’ll be joined by US rapper Russ, British singer-songwriter Kelli-Leigh and French crooner Anthony Touma.

Day two’s headline act will be electro-pop superstar Kesha who has sold over 100 million records worldwide, including smash hits such as “We R Who We R” and “Tik Tok”, which at one point was the highest-selling digital single in history. She’ll be joined by electronic dance DJ Marshmello, singer-songwriter Bebe Rexha and R&B star Craig David.

“RedFest is now in its fifth year, and is an established festival in the Dubai events calendar. We promise the festival fans a good combination of music activations and food, all adding to the festive vibe that RedFest is known for,” says Girish Bhat, Managing Director of Done Events, organisers of RedFest. WINTER OLYMPICS, Pyeongchang, South Korea

If you love winter sports then PyeongChang is the place to be as the South Korean county becomes the first-ever Winter Games city to award over 100 gold medals. The games will feature a total of 102 events in 15 sports and among the new events are men’s and women’s mass-start speed skating and big-air snowboarding.

South Korea has spent an estimated $10 billion on hosting the event, which amazingly is five times less than the 2014 Sochi Olympics in Russia, which were estimated to be the costliest ever. 13 venues split between PyeongChang and neighbouring Gangneung will be used during the games; six new venues have been built, and additional venues have been renovated. Visit
