While travelling the world may be a long-term plan for many of us, a young couple from Porthcawl in southern Wales is doing the unthinkable.
Clare Fisher (31), who is a business-owner, and husband Ian (28), a media practitioner, have quit their jobs and sold all their worldly possessions to travel the world with their two children, aged five and three.
As part of their plans to raise funds for the round-the-world family trip, the Travel The World Family, as they have dubbed themselves, intend on selling their cars and furniture and shacking up with relatives in the lead-up to their departure.
The first leg of their journey – to commence after Christmas – will see them visit Australia, Cambodia, Fiji, Indonesia, Majorca, New Zealand, the Philippines, Sri Lanka and Vietnam. The second part will include visits to Canada and the USA, reports Business Insider.

While on their trip, the couple is quoted by India Today as saying they would love to do some volunteer work with the children, who will be schooled online.
The Fishers’ epic journey – complete with no return tickets – will be documented on social media platforms Instagram and the video-sharing platform YouTube.
